Connect

Outlook

Search, read, draft, and send Microsoft 365 mail.

What this is

Outlook is a personal connection to Microsoft 365. Chat and agents can search, read, list, draft, and send mail for the account you connect. The mailbox is not copied into Documents.

Horison asks Microsoft for permission to read your profile and to work with mail. Calendar is not part of this connection yet.

What it can do

  • Search, read, and list mail.
  • Read a conversation.
  • Create a draft, or send.

What it cannot do

  • Read or write the calendar. That is coming later, and it is not in the live connection.
  • See a colleague’s mailbox. This connection is yours.
  • Pour mail onto the knowledge graph.

How to connect

You start in Horison, under Settings → Integrations. Horison opens a consent window. There is no API key to paste.

  1. 01

    Open Integrations

Sign in and go to Outlook in Settings → Integrations. Choose the Outlook card under Available.
  2. 02

    Approve access

Horison opens Outlook in a popup. Review what it is asking for, then approve. Many Microsoft 365 firms need an IT admin to approve Horison once before this window will finish. If nothing appears, allow popups for app.horison.ai and try again.
  3. 03

    Confirm the connection

When the popup closes, Outlook shows under Your connections. Only you can use it. Disconnecting stops new reads. Anything already in Horison stays until you delete it there.

Yours, not the firm's

Gmail, Outlook, Drive, SharePoint, and OneDrive are personal. A colleague cannot see your mailbox or your Drive through this connection. Attio is the exception: it can be shared with the whole workspace.

Your IT admin may need to click once

Many Microsoft 365 firms block new apps until an admin approves them. If the popup stops with a message about admin consent, that is Microsoft, not a Horison outage. Ask IT to approve Horison, then connect again.
