Connect
Gmail
Search, read, draft, and send from the Google account you connect.
What this is
Gmail is a personal connection. Chat and agents can search the inbox you connected, read threads, create drafts, and send. The mailbox is not copied into Documents, and it is not written onto the knowledge graph. Mail is a tool, not a library import.
Horison asks Google for permission to read your mail and to compose. Search and read need the first. Drafts and send need the second.
What it can do
- Search by sender, subject, date, or content.
- Read a message or a whole thread.
- List recent mail.
- Create a draft, or send.
What it cannot do
- See a colleague’s Gmail. This connection is yours.
- Pour the inbox onto the knowledge graph.
- Share the connection with the whole firm. That option exists for Attio, not Gmail.
How to connect
You start in Horison, under Settings → Integrations. Horison opens a consent window. There is no API key to paste.
01
Open Integrations
Sign in and go to Gmail in Settings → Integrations. Choose the Gmail card under Available.02
Approve access
Horison opens Gmail in a popup. Review what it is asking for, then approve. If nothing appears, allow popups for app.horison.ai and try again.03
Confirm the connection
When the popup closes, Gmail shows under Your connections. Only you can use it. Disconnecting stops new reads. Anything already in Horison stays until you delete it there.
Yours, not the firm's
Gmail, Outlook, Drive, SharePoint, and OneDrive are personal. A colleague cannot see your mailbox or your Drive through this connection. Attio is the exception: it can be shared with the whole workspace.
